We did a thing. A big thing.
Overland Park, Kan. – September 10, 2018 – JNA just updated our logo, color palette, typography, and mission statement. But one thing we didn’t change is who we are. We are informed, dedicated, talented, strategic, and passionate. We are JNA, and this is why we rebranded:
- We simply outgrew our old brand.
In the past three years, JNA has almost doubled its size in employees, and in its 14 years, JNA has only rebranded one time. We have expanded our client list and our capabilities. With this much growth, our identity began to shift and our brand no longer reflected who we are and where we are going.
2. We clarified our mission.
We’re an agency with a passion for understanding. We’re a team of strategic daydreamers and innovative thinkers. We operate on informed ideas. The result is work that elevates brands to new levels within the minds of consumers.
3. We self-discovered.
Self-reflection is something that many of us don’t do often enough. JNA included. Why? Well for starters, we put our clients first. We reviewed our client work and realized that our brand didn’t reflect the quality we were giving our clients.
Now you’re probably wondering about some of our rebrand decisions.
1. Lettermark
Our agency is filled with fearless leaders. Our CEO, John Nohe, who puts the J-N in JNA, and all of the Associates, exemplify what it means to always be moving forward. This is why our “flags” on the J and A are going the same direction.
2. Lockup
The shape of a logo can say a lot about the brand. Our old circle logo projected a positive message and it created a sense of friendliness and unity. While we still want to communicate that message, we transformed our shape into quite the opposite. Our new rectangle shape represents our strength and professionalism, but still implies our balance and harmony.
3. Color palette
Our old color palette was getting a tad confusing. We used a green, red, orange, blue, and purple. We took our two favorite colors, red and orange, and merged them together to create our Informed Red. A color that is as bold as we are.
We hope you like this new look and feel for JNA! Look out for more updates–like updated business cards and a brand-new website–as we continue to roll out our brand.
